Arcane is probably my favourite tv show and so I really wanted to love this but I just didn't. Reading this book felt like a bit of a chore the whole way through. I enjoyed the side characters more than Ambessa as I knew we weren't really going to get any character development with her. The story was good enough to keep me reading.
