My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick

Maybe it's my fault. I just wanted so bad to read a book like [b:To All the Boys I've Loved Before|15749186|To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)|Jenny Han|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1372086100l/15749186._SY75_.jpg|21442106] and [b:Anna and the French Kiss|6936382|Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1)|Stephanie Perkins|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1358271931l/6936382._SY75_.jpg|7168450]. I forgot those are two of a kind. I expected too much.

This book is "too clean" and "too perfect". The protagonist Samantha is a Edward Cullen. She is a beautiful, shiny, with a perfect body, blond, blue eyes, oh so pretty, with perfect grade, smart, rich, kind, everybody loves her character. (Add some more random complementary adjectives for her cause I'm not doing her justice)
Here's a quote by Princess Samantha herself:
I’m seventeen. I understand everything.

Sure you do.

Oh and the most Edward Cullen thing about her is she's also a stalker. She has been stalking her neighbour for years.

Enters the weasley family. Here Ron Weasley Jase is Samantha's love interest. One day he and Samantha had a two minute conversation and boom!! They are in love!

(At this point I was wondering if I'm reading a Twilight x Harry Potter fanfic. Maybe a contemporary fanfiction? Who knows)

Also, I've a question. Is it insta love if you stalk your love interest for years? I don’t know.
I forgot to mention, Jase is also mr. perfect. He is sweet, kind, " thoughtful", really hot and good at everything
Anyway, Sam and Jase started dating after two conversation which probably makes sense to others. But I lost too many brain cells after reading this book so I don’t know.
And I was too bored to be annoyed with their insta-making-out anyway.

What to say, I'm dramatic and I want some drama in my book to make my life more dramatic. Unfortunately the author had another thing in mind. At some point I was wondering if anything would even happen in this book or not. Maybe it's a book about teenagers randomly eating pizza and kissing under the stars. Maybe that's the drama. Or maybe my book has missing pages.

Shit happens though. After 75% when I already gave up and just wanted to be single for the rest of my boring life and get this book over with. Suddenly there is so many things happening in this too perfect book. Omg! Everything is a mess. Everybody is sad. So many family dramas. Samantha's perfect life isn’t perfect anymore. Oh my!
Meanwhile me: I wish I cared. Maybe they all should die or something. Problem solve.

I only finished this book because I was buddy reading this with my sister. I'll go back to my usual fantasy books where everybody kills everybody. *sigh*
