I had such a great time reading this book.. I loved the way the relationship between Robin and Edwin developed. The plot was intriguing with enough mystery to keep me turning the page and characters I quickly came to love. Well, most of them. There were a few that I loved to hate simply because they were mean and awful and they hurt (or threatened) the characters I loved.
The dynamics in Edwin's family made my heart ache for him, Especially when compared to the way Maud and Robin behaved with each other. Granted, they had awful parents, but they had each other. Whereas Edwin... well, I shouldn't spoil the book.
Both Adelaide Morrisey and Catherine Kaur were my favourite characters. I really wished there was a novel that featured them as the main characters. Woe.
The plot twist that happened near the end was pretty good. I didn't fully see it coming, but there were points where I was Suspicious. Or maybe becoming suspicious of characters is just the price you pay as a reader.
There was one particular plot point that I didn't care for so much, even though I know it's a staple in romance novels. It's just not my thing.
But all in all a great book and definitely going to look into putting the sequel on my wishlist.
