This is my first time reading a book that represents the beautiful culture of Argentina and I’ve clearly been living under a rock. My husband is Argentine and loves cooking so the mentions of food was so relatable 😋 Also, the soccer references!! Hispanics usually take soccer very seriously especially in Argentina, iykyk! Aside from the relatability, there was so much depth in different topics. The bittersweet references to the #NiUnaMas movement was everything. I will say, my absolute favorite thing about this book is the feminism and empowerment that Camila represents. Despite the VERY unlikeable characters, no need to point fingers because he knows who he is 😠, I really enjoyed her journey and even her family’s journey. The only thing I didn't like was the pace at the end of the story, so much happens and it feels rushed compared to the rest of the story. Regardless, this book is a gem!
