The Whispering Skull by Jonathan Stroud

4.0

Similar to the last one, this is really well written, has excellent depth, and is quite scary. I love how Stroud actually lets his hero be a hero, and you know Lucy can actually save herself and others without having to wait for the boys to come rescue her. I love the world building, and the characters are excellent. The pacing still throws me a bit, but I thought this one was better in that regard.
All in all, very enjoyable.
