I just love when book 2 outshines book 1. I went into this knowing I'd likely enjoy it but without high hopes and boy was I surprised.
The depth kicked in, the action amped up, the romance hopped up into overdrive. It was tense, it was emotional, it had me hooked.
That ending! I mean, we all kinda figured the harbinger would be exactly what it was right? But the delivery was impeccable!!! It alone was worth 5 stars, but I hate the both in love thinking the other person isn't trope so it got knocked down to 4.5.
I'd write more but book 3 is screaming to be red so now I'm diving into it hoping it'll live up to book 2.
