Loved the wry humour in this middle-grade story about a kid who suddenly becomes popular for reasons beyond his control. Derek's interaction with his three sisters and girls in general is hilariously spot-on, as is his angst about social standing. There are lots of gentle life lessons and good social patterning that kids may not notice but parents will appreciate. Highly recommended.
