Find Me in the Rain
by Pru Schuyler
this dude finds out he has a son and is so chill. like, he cares more about getting back together with his girlfriend
i dont mind miscommunication but this was pretty bad like, you tell him youre pregnant through a letter, which is a major major thing and dont decide to check he actually got it or try to contact him in anyway?
also the characters were very shallow and the love interest didnt have any sort of background, he was just there.
i feel like it had potential but tbf its a romance, theres like twenty books with the same plot and im sure one of them could have done it better.
also why does the six year old in a relationship? like it was cute how they tried to show their support and allyship but it felt forced for the sake of the plot.
another thing that felt forced was the mother, like the book starts off with the mother in a coma and she dies later on. her whole character is unnecessary like she didnt even come back alive to do some cliché last words or anything, just in a coma.
like what on earth?
