I can't remember why I downloaded this from KU, maybe a podcast mentioned it? Well, whatever the reason, I'm glad I did. Lia is in Oxford for a term writing a paper for her Masters and meets Jude in a bar in London on a rainy evening after a day of homesickness and sightseeing. She ha no idea that he's a famous footballer and he has no idea that she comes from an American football family. One thing leads to another and... well, yup. It's an "oops, I'm pregnant!" moment. (That is not a spoiler, that's in the blurb.) Lia and Jude have to work out this new complication while dealing with their feelings for each other and their own demons. Both of these characters are flawed and acknowledge their flaws, while trying to find a future for themselves. Both characters' inability to stay in one place and talk when things got tough was what brought it down a star, but their acknowledgement of their flaws and need to talk about it after brought it back up a half star. I think I'll be going back to read the previous books!
