Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
This book… This book is my favourite in the series so far.
I loved Heir of Fire, but this book needs to get a pedestal, for real.
If there was one word to describe this book, it would be FRIENDSHIP, because seriously, I loved how the characters bonded and fought for each other.
Rowan and Aelin are reunited, the line between friends and something more is being crossed step by step. Aelin is finally stepping up, acting like a queen to be, someone who doesn’t shy from giving orders and I was there for it. Especially when she chewed out Chaol or put Aedion in his place when he complained about the blood oath.
Aedion is still a favourite, and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of him. He’s the gift that keeps on giving, but what stole the show was Lysandra. What a freaking plot twist! Also a plot twist I didn’t expect was what happened with Elide, and honestly, I need to know more about this character!
Manon and Aelin… I hope they get to fight on the same side at some point. Imagine the force of these two if they would put their heads together.
And finally Dorian and Chaol… As much as I don’t like Chaol, their friendship is admirable. Speaking of Dorian, I hated the short chapters of his POV and how absent he was. I missed him so much, although I loved the exchange between him and Manon. I need more of that asap!
