This story had so, so much potential but unfortunately I was just left wanting more.

The Girl With No Reflection tells the story of a girl who’s pulled into a mirror-reflection world where she unknowingly is the catalyst to a thousand year prophecy and war in the making.

I loved the idea of the novel: parallel worlds, inspiration from Chinese mythology, a strong FMC to save the world.

Unfortunately, the story fell short of my expectations. The FMC often came across as rash and impulsive, and the progression of her relationship with the prince felt rushed and lacking of chemistry.

Overall, I still somewhat enjoyed this read but I think it could have benefited from maybe being a bit more succinct to cut out what felt like “fluff” to the story.
