My Brother's Book
by Maurice Sendak
I have to admit--this was way over my head. I don't think I would have even known what it was about had it not told me on the back of the book. I need to go back to some of my undergrad English lit classes I think, to flesh this one out. Or at least, give it more than 15 minutes. But I don't have time for either of those two at the moment, so this will have to be on my to-do list when I retire and the kids are out of the house. It will be well worth it, though, because as always, Sendak's writing is powerful and haunting.
