Shucked
by Kate Canterbary
Shucked is a chaotic good time. It's small-town bonkers with this undercurrent of "something isn't right..." mixed with all the wonderful will they/won't they tension and enemies to lovers banter─it has phenomenal banter!─and excellent spice. There are so many quirky and wonderful characters that I'm excited to read more about. There is part of the story that involves Beckett's parents that is not resolved in Shucked, so I can only assume that will resolve over the course of the Loew Brothers series. I adored the newsletter epilogue that highlights some of the over the top festivals and a peak at Sunny and Beckett's journey since we left them.
