This book is amazing. A love letter to the archipelago of the English channel, a meditative reflection on the Unknown, a frightful reckoning with the sea, held together with the story of a man pushed to struggle and endure. Hits in the same spot that Moby Dick does. The ending breaks my heart, but the bulk of the novel held me fast.
