Everyone in Ghosthollow has secrets,  and Lou and Clementine are no exceptions. They're both running from their pasts when they run into each other, and sparks begin to fly. This is the slowest of slow burns, but mostly because these characters refuse to talk to each other. But even outside of that, this book felt really slow. I can't say if it was the writing style, pacing, or both. The pining is top notch, the banter is fun, and the mystery/thriller aspect was pretty interesting. If you're looking for a queer cowboy romance with highish stakes, this might be the right fit for you.
