Map of Bones by James Rollins

4.0

Thrilling, compelling, interesting, educational...but again with the half-assed, underdeveloped, unnecessary, they-love-each-other-out-of-nowhere romance subplot. It really feels like the editor went "Add romance!" and Rollins spent half an hour flipping to random pages and adding a line or two about glances and touches and developing feelings. I just want the cool sciencey shit! And the murder! The firefights! That's what I'm here for!
