Trigger warnings: death, blackmail, debt

I am really loving this series! It's so funny, entertaining and swoony. I was really interested to see how this one was going to work out, since Emily and Julian seem like polar opposites and I haven't really read many marriages of convenience, specially not historical. However, I really enjoyed it, it's up there with the first book for me. I really connected with Emily and her search for her identity. Marrying Julian allowed her space to think more about her wants and needs and I loved how he ultimately supported her as she was. While his motivations for the marriage kind of got in the way, I enjoyed his personal growth and how it developed. I think this is my favorite one of the series so far? I am also looking forward to the upcoming release, though Penvale hasn't taken center stage yet and the love interest hasn't been introduced in the series before. Cannot wait to see how the book goes!
