Half Sick of Shadows
by Laura Sebastian
This book started out with great potential. I was hooked in the very beginning, but then things got confusing. The story takes place in present time, the past, and also parts of Elaine's visions. It was difficult to distinguish which you were reading, especially in the beginning since there was no warning of the switches.
I think this story could have been great. Parts were executed perfectly, but many chapters were confusing and hard to follow.
I was also very disappointed by the end. A LOT of time was skipped from the second to last chapter to the last chapter. It really wasn't satisfying since there were still many things I would have liked to have seen played out.
Overall, I finished it, but I can't say I really liked it.
