I really enjoyed where this book could have gone but it didn’t. It’s giving “I spent so much on the buildup and don’t have time to tie everything up.” There was so much build up, so much mystery, and it was just forgotten at the end. The author spent more time rehashing everything we already knew than making the ending satisfying or even make sense really. Overall, I had high hopes and stuck through the dragging bits because the mystery was great but the story just repeated itself until it ended without really resolving anything. And Nella’s ending didn’t make sense for her character. The little character development that she does get goes completely in the opposite direction at the end.
