Compelling story
This excellent twist on the beauty and the beast theme was difficult to put down. My only criticism is the anachronistic writing of Derek's character. He has been asleep for 400 years. He would not speak like a modern person or understand modern social changes. He would be completely overwhelmed by all the changes in 400 years. Other than that, and the fact the book was too short, I enjoyed reading it.
