One Love by Lili St. Germain

5.0

THIS WAS .. SO FUCKING EMOTIONAL. HEART WRETCHING.
I didn't feel giddy at all. Lili's words at the end are correct, this isn't a love story. This is a story about vengeance, and retribution. My respect for Juliette is.. beyond this universe. She is so unbelievably strong, I don't even think any of the strong female characters in the books I've read could go through what she went through. The best part is that she doesn't even realize that she's strong. She is, and I fucking love it.

I didn't actually plan to read this..
(Sorry Maria)

Because I thought this was a standalone novella series and that turned me off so hard.. because each description and title just left that impression but I was sitting in English and my English teacher does absolutely nothing in class

And I just finished the "One Night" trilogy and I was too tired to look for another book to read and I am VERY PICKY when picking new books to read so I just went to bed but beforehand, I went on a free book buying spree on iBooks and the first book of this series was free so I was sitting in English class going "eh why not? I guess I have time for a standalone novella" AND I FELL IN LOVE. I read these books like my next fix.

Jase and Julz's love for each other... was so overpowering I cried.
Spoiler
The moment he realized it was her, I was balling like a child. IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MOMENT IN THE SERIES.
Next to the moment when we learn the child is Jase's.. I DONT THINK YOU UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I WAS WAITING TO HEAR THAT.

The only thing that saddens me is that she changed her face and she could never be the same person for him, but despite the scars and everything. He still loved her.
