The Absolute Sandman, Volume One
by Malcolm Jones III, Mike Dringenberg, Kelley Jones, Michael Zulli, Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, Colleen Doran, Charles Vess, Steve Parkhouse, Chris Bachalo
Dark and creepy--everything I look for in a story. Been so long since I last read comic books, and I forgot that reeling feeling you get after reading something that usually ends quickly. This aptly took me back to that feeling. Each tale has a different flavor, but the base is always Gaiman's signature style of horror. I can't say I have a favorite from this volume, but I will always look at "24 Hours" as the defining issue/tale on this volume.
