The Absolute Sandman, Volume One by Malcolm Jones III, Mike Dringenberg, Charles Vess, Kelley Jones, Michael Zulli, Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, Colleen Doran, Steve Parkhouse, Chris Bachalo

5.0

Dark and creepy--everything I look for in a story. Been so long since I last read comic books, and I forgot that reeling feeling you get after reading something that usually ends quickly. This aptly took me back to that feeling. Each tale has a different flavor, but the base is always Gaiman's signature style of horror. I can't say I have a favorite from this volume, but I will always look at "24 Hours" as the defining issue/tale on this volume.
