I devoured this book like it was most delicious desert I've ever tasted. I can't agree more with the review on the back of the book from Entertainment Weekly calling it a "fireworks in the sky, glitter in your hair royal romance." This is the 2019 and 2020 I wished I lived in--I wish everyone lived in. This powerful story where love and acceptance triumphed, where it's the greatest strength that can pull us through anything. Alex and Henry and the whole gang had me laughing and crying and flailing and staying up til 6am until my eyes were too tired to focus on the words, and even then I pressed on because I just couldn't get enough!

What an outstanding debut novel!! This is by far one of the best love stories I've ever read, and will probably reread many times. It left my heart feeling warm and full and hopeful for a future where maybe, just maybe, the real world could be this bright. I know it's an extremely idealistic imagining of the world, but I don't care, because it made my stressful days brighter and my sleepless nights gentler.

If you're looking for a hopeful romance that will sweep you off your feet and warm your heart til your face hurts with smiles, this is the book for you!
