This book was so heartwarming! Cece is trying to adjust to her new life with a hearing aid. She experiences life at a new school, with new friends, and has new challenges. To overcome these challenges, she imagines herself as a super hero named El Deafo!
I loved this book as a graphic novel because the author was so good at capturing her emotions in the illustrations throughout the book. The graphic novel format really enhanced the telling of the story!
