Allegiance by Nicholas Sansbury Smith

5.0

And the awesomeness that is the Hell Divers series continues with another action-packed entry.

Nick really has a way of putting into words a post-apocalyptic world that is enthralling, captivating, and at times hopeful, gruesome, and depressing simultaneously. Watching the battle shift from the sky (for the most part) to the sea has been interesting to see. As with many authors, Nick likes to kill off some characters that really grow on you. I won't go into spoilers, but man was I hit hard towards the end of the book. It almost reminds me of Pierro from his seventh Extinction Cycle book.

Bray, as always, is my favorite narrator and performs flawlessly, even when purposely mispronouncing common city names.

5/5 and I can't wait for book 7.
