SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)

Briar is the last fairy with wings. And because of her high blood, she has powerful magic. So she has been living under the thumb of a tyrannical dark fae owner who drinks her blood for power and rules her once-happy citadel with cruelty.

When at last, a group of men come to overthrow the man who has enslaved her, she is relieved. But Alder and his crew have plans for Briar. Plans, it turns out, she is more than okay with.

REVIEW:

This was pretty cute and steamy too.

I liked Briar. She was sweet and fun -- and lusty (as her mates would say). I enjoyed her personality and thought she was pretty cute.

I liked all of her mates too.

At first Alder isn't on board with sharing her (he claims her first), but once he works out that she needs all of them, he is open to sharing.

Edwin was pretty adorable. He's like this big gruff guy who is a total teddy bear for her. I loved it.

Jesse did not win me over at first with how he talked about Briar. But he soon changed his tune and became a real source of comfort for her. So in the end I liked him.

Caleb was strong and dominant and I liked that about him. He is also best friends with Alder and I enjoyed their threesomes with Briar before the bigger group scenes started. Pretty hot!

Tate I didn't feel like we got to know very well. Him and Barok came in at the end and didn't get as much page time with Briar. But he was alright.

Barok is the centaur that first appeared in The Centaur in My Valley (he was going to mate Hope and Calden challenged him for her). He was also in The Centaur in My Dreams where he was Grimm's second in command at the Dires End portal. I liked him, but like with Tate, he didn't get as much page time so I didn't feel as connected to him.

The steam was PLENTY in this one. That's pretty much all it is. There are some side plots about Briar finally closing some pesky portals -- including the one that has been plaguing Dires End with monsters. So that was cool. But mostly it was just lots of sex. lol I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't have minded a little more plot as well as it got a little repetitive at times.

Overall it was a fun book. Sweet and sexy with good characters. Could've used more story than steam, but I still liked it.
