I thought this was fun and sexy and just the right amount of dark. It was certainly not a cheerful romance, but it was kind, and that matters so much more to me. If you want a romance that plays with themes of kidnapping and runaways and murder and power but that does so without ever putting sexual assault on page, without any noncon or dubcon, and without sacrificing caretaking and sweetness, then this book is for you! I am not overly familiar with greek mythology, so it’s possible a die hard fan might not like this retelling as much as I did, but I liked it a lot!
