Reviewing this book is a bit conflicting. The first half was hard to read. It almost had me quitting the book. When I arrived at the second part of the book, I understood that was I had considered poor writing was actually intentional and so it felt pretty cool, although it was still a hard read. The plot also didn’t feel so captivating.
However the book did share a nice and meaningful insight into life in occupied Palestine, which I’m grateful for.
I would recommend fast readers to read this, but not slow readers that like to really take their time with a book.
