So I keep thinking about this and decided to give a content warning: the diet culture in this book is out of control. It’s just so gross and unnecessary. I’ve not read a lot of McCumber and this was the first backlist I’ve read of hers. Maybe she’s dropped that whole aspect over time? Because I don’t remember seeing any in her new releases.
