when I tell you I'm the biggest fan of this series, I am NOT joking.
I want to climb the tallest mountain in the world and shout my love for this series.
I genuinely can't believe it's over... I was here from the BEGINNING. I started following Lauren when she was still in the process of writing Powerless and I still remember when she first announced that she finished that book and when she read us snippets of it that had me HOOKED. I waited for that book for over a year because I just KNEW I would love it from those snippets (and I was right). and then she announced she was self-publishing it and I IMMEDIATELY ordered the hardcover copy as soon as it was available. and then a few months later she announced she was traditionally publishing it and I immediately ordered another copy (because why tf not) and then BOOM the whole series blew up on social media and it now has the praise it deserves! I'm so so proud of Lauren and I'm so glad I was here to see it all! (I now have multiple copies of the series hehe)
I'm literally crying while writing this. it's not even funny. I loved this book. the ending was perfect. I.... I just love everything about this series. I will be re-reading it for the rest of my life.
Pae and Kai, I will love you for the rest of my life and I will never ever accept any less than what you two have. I promise.
gosh I just loved this book and this series so much. definitely top 1, probably tied with 1 or 2 others but still number 1.
the ending was perfect. it was painful but perfect. AND THE PLOT TWISTS??? two of them, you basically find out before the characters do in the middle of the book but then there's MORE and I was absolutely not expecting those.
I literally don't know what else to say besides that I love these characters so much, it genuinely hurts.
I can't wait to see what else Lauren writes (including that novella that is part of this series 👀). I will literally read anything she writes.
