Carry On is like Harry Potter, but Drarry is canon. No, it’s not the most diverse cast in all of YA, but it’s what I wanted when reading Harry Potter. This story is warm and cozy and exciting. The characters are lovable and interesting. Rowell turns tropes inside out and upside down and I really appreciate it. ( also I really love how it’s not about Simon and Baz coming to terms with their sexuality and being angsty and sad about it. It’s not a coming out story, it’s just a really cute romance with magic and vampires. )
