It's really hard to find classics groundbreaking when they're driving home points you've already known and agreed with, but with racism and misogyny this time. Seriously, it is repeatedly pointed out how minorities wanting to be represented is a major contributing factor in the downfall of literature, and it is for sure worth noting that the only mentioned authors that were 'worth saving' were all men. We're not going to even talk about the fact that the only women are 'stupid nagging wife' and 'manic pixie dream girl'
