This book sucked me in from the beginning and never let go.  It’s a very simple premise and story, but the questions about race, privilege, power and morality it asks are deep ones.  The book will have you questioning whether doing the wrong thing for the right reasons is justified, whether you can truly ever make up for injustice, and what you can forgive and what you can’t, even from the people you love.  Everyone one of the author’s books I’ve read so far has been worth it.
