Don’t let the title put you off – this story is all about family/friendships and chaos with intention and delicious sounding cookie recipes that will have you scavenging the pantry. If you enjoy well-thought-out plots (where not a single detail goes without purpose) and a bit of magic realism and whimsy (thoughtfully) thrown in, I encourage you to visit Ophelia (who is smart and complex and a little bit sassy) and her friends in Nollag. No need to wait for the holiday season – this is a fun read for any time of the year. (Just make sure that pantry is well stocked before you begin.)

Can’t wait for Lelko’s next title to drop!
