The Coral Thief by Rebecca Stott

3.0

Set in Paris after Napoleon. Daniel Connor is on his way to Paris to work. He is a medical student and is carrying letters of introduction and gifts for Cuvier (the man he is going to work for). While on the way he is robbed of these items, but not his money. He learns when filing his report that the thief was Lucienne Bernard. A woman that is not only a scholar, but also a thief. This begins Daniel's journey to discover why Lucienne took his items and his effort to get them back. I found the book to be really slow moving. The writing did make you feel as though you were in Paris, but it felt like not much was happening for such a short book.
