The Second Sex
by Simone de Beauvoir
The beginning with all the exhausting cellular details, next the psychobabble followed by the terrible treatment of women throughout history in different societies and religions, a laundry list of male philosophers and why they felt superior. The occasional exceptional women who broke the mold. Some premises definitely still apply but overall I think it's quite dated, depressing and dull.
