Murder Your Employer: The McMasters Guide to Homicide
by Rupert Holmes
A fantastic first draft, a poor novel.
In the first half, you will follow a reluctant protagonist as he eventually accepts a fate thrust on him by the author and a near omnipresent secret school.
In the second half, you are kept on the sideline as the author shows you how clever their setup & reveals are. The first time is a trick, but by the 7th time it is beyond old.
Everyone gets a happy ending, no matter how little they earned it nor how much it makes sense. Internal consistency is a suggestion.
