While I was originally enjoying this, I found the last third of the book to be very confusing and chaotic. Evie is a healer who is cursed to two months life as an ogre, turned permanent unless she falls in love and receives a marriage proposal. The first part of the book focused mostly on her transition form human to ogre, and learning how to cope and communicate. The middle starts bringing her back into human drama and communication chaos, and the final part of the book is just focused largely on the people of the court all trying to convince each other of different things. The specifications around her curse and what lifted it seemed to fluctuate in confusing inconsistent ways. Overall I grew more confused and disappointed as I continued to read, often having moments where I was annoyed at the length when it felt like a lot of filler. Definitely not my favorite from this author, though the beginning had more promise.
