They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

5.0

To be honest I don't really care that the romance aspect was so short. I don't know, I guess that's not why I chose to read it? I feel like it's not so much a romance book as one about friendship. Like, it wasn't just about Mateo and Rufus- it was about the Plutos and Lidia and maybe even Penny. I think, for me, it's more just a reminder to live your life as best you can because you never know when it's gonna end- bucket list complete or not. You have to keep on going because you can't know for sure that things are going to get worse- you have to believe in the chance that they'll get better. I think that's what Rufus and Mateo's friendship (yes friendship, not romance) taught me.
