4.25 out of 5 stars: Reminiscent of Postscript by Cecelia Ahern. I loved Tom's scavenger hunt for Cassie were everything and I really loved their bond. As well as the the friendship with him and Sam was everything. I also loved the flashbacks as it wove everything together nicely along with the setting. The difficulties of families during loss and not getting everything right, but once you are old enough you can to have the age and empathy to put yourself in their shoes makes all the difference.
The pace was slow and the ending was drawn out along with the characters being afraid to talk. But overall did enjoy the book even though it felt like Christmas was just the point to come back to.
