- I don't love the militarism and trivializing of death in this series and I am choosing to ignore the author's bio. There is an open market for a nice leftist to write a romantasy series just saying!!!
- I cannot get over the love interest's name being Xaden especially when the rest of the characters have normal names. It's giving Mormon mommy blogger
- Despite these complaints it was otherwise a fun steamy speedreading romp and unfortunately I will be picking up the next one
