it felt kind of weird to read this and relate to bonnie because she was so delusional and traumatized, but she was also uncomfortably human. everyone wants to escape into something that brings them peace and makes them feel safe in the aftermath of something horrible, and it’s easy to push the people you love away when it feels like they can’t understand that part of you or like they want to take it away from you. i’m not sure what it says about me lol but i empathized a lot with her even though it could be hard to understand some of her intentions and behaviors. minus half a star because there was a scene near the end that kind of lost me for a moment
