From cover to cover you’ll be begging June not to make the decisions that she makes. Her perspective is warped. She’ll find some way to justify her actions. It’s a tense book all the way through. I don’t think I will be reading Yellowface again however Kuang has proven herself in writing complicated characters and making the reader feel something. I will read more of her work.
