A reread for me! I love Peter’s writing - multiple POVs all mingled together, flowing very smoothly. There are so many secondary characters that play a large part in the plot, complimenting the main character extremely well and building great character development.
Peter does such a fantastic job building the world of Wrath, emphasizing the complex history between dragons and humans, between humans and magi, and between humans and demons.
I love a satisfying ending without the need to tie everything up in an unrealistic bow. But mostly I love how nothing comes easy for Falco and his friends, lives were lost and people were tortured (even those we wanted to live) as is typical in war, friendships were strained and old enemies became allies, and throughout the book, a constant test of one’s faith.
Well worth the second read. And now I can truly enjoy Aquila and hope Peter releases the third book sooner rather than later!
