The Taking of Jake Livingston
by Ryan Douglass
Wanted to like this but the writing is so terribly disjointed. The plot happens to the characters, who ultimately become passive subjects. My favorite line comes about halfway through the book where, after mentioning “ecto mist” and “death loops” throughout the story, the main character muses: “I always forget ghosts have an entire lore.” ??????????
