The Centre

It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't horrendous either.
I feel like the author tried too hard to talk about multiple interesting subjects, like misogyny, feminism etc. but it just fell flat because it felt like surface level discussion. It was superficial, so I didn't really connect with the characters or their stories. Therefore, I didn't care about their problems, even if I could understand where they were coming from.
I was excited about this book because some people were comparing it to Babel, which is a favourite of mine, but I was disappointed. Of course, it's not the fault of the author. I think I was just expecting too much.
