I have spent countless weeks pondering how to write a review for this book, and now I’m finally doing so. Here goes… Ugly Love got me out of my reading slump, but other than that I have no other thoughts on this book. The characters are incredibly flawed, and while I love imperfect characters after a while I just wondered if there were any redeemable qualities at all. I liked the dual perspectives, but I found Tate’s side of the story to be hard to get through at times - but simultaneously it was so strange that I just kept reading. The conclusion of the story was somewhat anticlimactic, and I ended up being glad it was over. Anyway, now that I’ve read one Colleen Hoover, I know that the rest of her stories are just not for me. It’s not just the plots themselves, but I think “we both laugh at our son’s big balls” says enough about her writing style.
