*spoilers* The timing of this book felt very strange. The narrator didn’t feel unreliable enough to be reporting the time incorrectly. It seemed like 5 days had gone by and she called it weeks. I found that really distracting. Same for the amputation scene. It seemed wildly improbable. How was she dying from infection that quickly? For that matter how did she do that much damage to her foot in a fall? My own questions kept me from getting lost in the story.
