I'm DNF'ing this book at 48%. I just CANNOT get into it.  The premise is just not it for me. I am not connecting with the characters, it's too....fantasy like, without being a fantasy, and the implausible plot just isn't sitting well with me.  Perhaps it gets better, but I shall never know.
