The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

The plot twist in The Naturals was amazing, completely unexpected and so well done. I really liked the characters, especially our FMC, Cassie. She’s smart, observant, and emotionally grounded in a way that makes her easy to connect with. Watching her navigate the world of criminal profiling while dealing with her own past was one of the highlights of the book.
The only part I didn’t enjoy as much was the love triangle. It felt a bit too familiar, especially if you’ve read The Inheritance Games series. It didn’t add much to the plot for me and occasionally pulled focus from the more interesting parts of the story.
That said, it’s a very fast-paced and short book. I finished it in about 3-4 hours. Perfect for a quick binge read. I’m definitely going to continue the series. With characters this strong and a plot that keeps twisting, I can’t wait to see what happens next.
